Evidence from around the world and from other sectors proves that adopting management approaches focused on satisfying consumers as effectively and efficiently as possible can deliver improved returns to all involved participants, and lead to increased competitiveness.
The Value Chain Management Centre (VCMC) is Canada’s only initiative dedicated to assisting the development of closely aligned value chains through excellence in research, education, and management. In conjunction with its international partners, the Centre offers a portfolio of products and services, each of which is designed to support and enable the adoption of value chain-based business approaches.
In addition to conducting leading edge research, analysis and implementation at the business and industry level, the VCMC assesses the impact agricultural and agri-food policies and regulations have on supporting or discouraging the creation and management of closely-aligned agri-product value chains. The VCMC’s strategic direction is determined by an independent Advisory Board.
The Value Chain Management Centre is part of the George Morris Centre, Canada’s independent agri-products think tank.
The George Morris Centre is committed to provoking informed dialogue on policies and issues, and fostering excellence in the Canadian agricultural sector.
