Martin Gooch has been a senior research associate at the George Morris Centre since 2005, and is now the director of the Value Chain Management Centre. He conducts research, provides background information, works with industry, firms and farmers on improving value chain management, and conducts workshops across Canada on these issues. Martin is dedicated to improving value chain management throughout the Canadian agri-products sector to the advantage of all stakeholders, and is one of the few people who can and will achieve this objective.

Abdel joined the George Morris Centre in December, 2008 as a Research Assistant with the Value Chain Management Centre. He has Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Agricultural Economics from the University of Zagazig, Egypt, and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph. His doctoral thesis focused on the impact of developed countries sanitary and phytosanitary measures on developing countries.
Abdel's primary role at the Centre is collecting, analyzing, and organizing economic data, and conducting literature reviews for a variety of research projects within the Value Chain Management Centre.
Nicole Marenick

Nicole is a research and administrative assistant at the Value Chain Management Centre, part of the George Morris Centre. She has a background in marketing and communications, research design and implementation, analysis and project management. Nicole has worked with a wide range of retailers, research and advertising agencies, and has developed and managed consumer-focused marketing plans.
Nicole holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
